João Perry da Câmara

Law degree, in 1984, from the Faculty of Human Sciences of the Portuguese Catholic University;

He attended the Business Management Program of the Higher Business Studies Association, at the University of Navarra, in 1992;

He attended the Master's course, a specialization degree in Commercial Law from the Faculty of Law of the Portuguese Catholic University, in 1996;

Completed the Business Law course at the Catholic University Law School in 2000;

Postgraduate degree in Legal Sciences from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, in 2016;

Registered with the Portuguese Bar Association.

Lawyer for over 25 years, he has extensive experience in areas as diverse as Family and Succession Law, Litigation and Arbitration, Commercial Law, Corporate Law and Insolvency Law.

Regardless of her continuous work in the Litigation and Arbitration Area, she also has extensive experience in the financial, economic and business areas representing domestic and foreign companies and advising multinationals in Portugal.

Considered by his peers to be a leading figure in the areas of Family Law, Juvenile Law and Succession Law, he is a reference in matters of inheritance, inventory and sharing.

João Perry da Câmara is a member of the International Academy of Family Lawyers.

He intervenes in national and international arbitrations, as an arbitrator.

He began his professional career in 1984 as a member of the Litigation Department of Nestlé Portugal, S.A., covering various matters from the most varied areas of law.

He was an advisor to the Secretary of State for Youth in the XI Constitutional Government of Portugal, in 1987.

He was a founding partner of the law firm Perry da Câmara & Resina da Silva — Law Firm” between 1994 and 1999, where he works mainly in the areas of Family Law and Succession and Litigation.

He was a partner at PMBGR — Law Firm, standing out in terms of Insolvency Law and Pharmaceutical Law and assuming himself as a reference in Family and Succession Law, between 1999 and 2013.

He served on the Lisbon District Council of the Portuguese Bar Association, as Vice President of the Lisbon District Council of the Portuguese Bar Association, between 2001 and 2004.

He served on the General Council of the Portuguese Bar Association, as Vice President, between 2004 and 2007.

He has been a partner at Rogério Alves & Associados — Sociedade de Advogados, R.L., since 2013, responsible for the Family and Succession Law Unit, integrated and one of those responsible for the Litigation and Arbitration Area.

Participated in the “Hot Topics in EU Family Law” Conference, sponsored by the International Academy of Family Layers, which was held in Madrid in November 2016;

Participated in the “International Private Wealth Reception”, at the invitation of Farrer & Co Law Firm, which took place in London in March 2016;

He moderated the “Symposium on Private International Family Law” for Latin American and Spanish-speaking countries, which took place in Seville in March 2015;

He was a speaker at the III International Conference on Parental Equality XXI — “The Indissociability of Parenting”, which took place at the Agostinho Silva Auditorium of the Lusophone University of Humanities and Technologies, in April 2014;

He participated in the Conference on Family Law, chaired by French President Anne Cadiot-Feidt, sponsored by the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, which took place in France in March 2014.
