Rogério Alves & Associados - Law Firm's Senior Associate Ana Pedrosa Augusto has been appointed as an Arbitrator at Centro de Arbitragem Administrativa (Portuguese Arbitration Unit), in the areas of Income Tax, Property Tax and International Tax Law.

Tax arbitration - regulated by Decree-Law n.º 10/2011, of January 20 - is an alternative and innovative way for dispute resolution in tax related areas, allowing for a more efficient enforcement of taxpayers' rights. Furthermore, it also intends to provide a swifter and simpler litigation proceeding against Tax Authorities. 

These proceedings are executed via internet and the final award shall be granted, on general terms, within a six month period, by Arbitrators with vast professional experience.
